The Kin One features a 2.4 inch capacitive display at QVGA resolution, 5.0 megapixel camera with flash and VGA resolution video capture, QWERTY keyboard, speakerphone, Wi-Fi radio and Bluetooth with stereo audio support. Internal storage is fixed at 4GB with no external expansion slot. The Kin Two is the higher end model and features a 3.5 inch 480×320 resolution capacitive touchscreen display, 8.0 megapixel camera with 720p video capture and 8GB non-expandable storage.

The biggest features of the Kin series revolve around the Loop, the Spot and the Kin Studio. The Loop hosts favorite people and feeds, with their status updated in real time on the home screen similar to Motoblur. It’s the first thing that appears when the phone is turned on and closely resembles Windows Phone 7′s contact collage while integrating contacts from Facebook, MySpace and Windows Live without the need for dedicated applications.

The Spot is another feature unique to Kin, spot permanently affixed the bottom center of the screen, drag anything you want to share down to it, along with the people you wanna share it with and it’s sent via the medium of choice such as an MMS, Facebook or email.

Kin Studio

The Studio is the online portion of Kin and everything is backed up in full resolution, with geotagging to Kin Studio. Every change made in Studio is automatically synced to the phone. And it can do just about everything a Kin device can, like share via the Spot or check out the Loop with the idea behind it acting as an online journal.

The Kin series will launch in May on Verizon Wireless and in the fall via Vodafone in Europe.
